Gonda Winery is a third-generation winemaking operation, part of the Liget-tanya family estate in Erdőbénye. Since our technological shift in 2014, we have been experimenting with wild and cultivated yeasts. Our first commercially released still dry wines were produced in 2016, followed by the bottling of must and sparkling wines starting in 2019.

Our winery is a family affair, built by an architect and civil engineer couple, complemented by our two young sons and the support of our extended family. We are based in a traditional stone house in Erdőbénye and also operate on the historic Avasi Cellar Row in Miskolc. Our white grapes are harvested from the Lapis vineyard in Bodrogkeresztúr and the Lepény vineyard in Erdőbénye.

Our wines reflect the journey of our growing family over the years. In addition to showcasing the unique characteristics of each vintage and a variety of styles and techniques, our offerings include must, dry Furmint and Hárslevelű, sparkling wines, and late-harvest sweet Furmint.

The synergy of winemaking, architecture, and nature is integral to our philosophy and is evident in our buildings and approach. Understanding the relationship between the natural world and human creation is a continuous process of exploration and experimentation, shaping our evolving spirit and perspective.
