Unlike the typical winery model in the region, we established our estate center on the Fekete Hill in Kisharsány, right in the heart of our vineyards. This reflects our deep connection to the terroir and our grape plantations. From the beginning, our goal has been to produce the finest wines that showcase the unique characteristics of the Villány wine region. We have reinterpreted traditional knowledge to meet modern challenges, adopting natural and environmentally friendly practices in the vineyards.
Our 100-hectare vineyard, planted between 1992 and 2004, features south and southeast-facing slopes with a density of 7,000 vines per hectare. From these vineyards, we aim for a modest yield (an average load of 40 hl/ha) with beautiful, ripe grapes.
Each harvest, we tailor our winemaking process to the characteristics of the grapes and the vintage—there is no fixed "recipe." We nurture the vines like children, helping them reach their full potential. The harvested grapes go through multiple selection rounds. Aging takes place in 225-liter barrels made of Hungarian and French oak, as well as in 15 stunning large barrels. Depending on the variety and vintage, our red wines spend 12-18 months in barrels, followed by a minimum of 3-4 months of bottle aging before being released from the cellar.
