In the heart of Wagram — on this gently sloping yet impressive terrace that gives the region its name — our family has been making wine with passion, idealism and innovation for three generations. Wagram offers ideal conditions for viticulture: the area was shaped by the winds of the Ice Age on ancient Danube rock layers, covered with loess that can reach up to 20 meters deep. This well-aerated soil allows the vines’ roots to draw water and nutrients from the depths. Combined with the influence of the Pannonian climate, this terroir provides the perfect foundation for characterful, distinctive wines known for their fine spiciness and signature creaminess. This applies not only to Grüner Veltliner but also to Roter Veltliner, whose cultivation has a long tradition in Wagram.
