Schloss Gobelsburg is the oldest winery in the Kamptal Danube region, with a documented winemaking history that reaches back to the 12th century. In 2021, the estate celebrated its 850th vintage. The Cistercian monks of Zwettl received their first vineyards in 1171, and over the past 850 years they have played a defining role in shaping Austrian wine culture. Throughout history, the monastery has cultivated vineyards in some of the finest locations in Austria.
