Introduction

“Every vintage has its uniqueness, and every grape variety its character.” Guided by this motto, the Kraft family has been producing wines in their family winery in the heart of Rust since 1749. For them, wine is a creation of nature, not the winemaker. They give nature free rein: no artificial irrigation, herbicides, or fertilizers are used. Instead, they rely on intensive manual labor—from pruning and cluster selection to hand harvesting.

In the cellar, they process only grapes from their own vineyards, using pure and simple methods. There is no vacuum evaporation or reverse osmosis. The wines are aged for up to three years exclusively in stainless steel tanks or barrels made from Central European oak. Their passion for diversity allows them to bottle an extensive repertoire of wines each year.
